Sounds like my neighbors. Especially the one who atttends the christian mega church and sent his kid to christian pre school and whose wife will not talk to me because I don't go to a christian church. He also answered the door with a gun in his hand when the police were making a call to his house because his dog was barking all night long; and also threatened his neighbor (who happens to be a huge black dude) with his gun.

Real christians...

Wow I guess this guy thinks that he isn't a sinner? So is his name anonymously Jesus Christ? Obviously he has a Jesus complex because he tries to dole out punishment for your wonderful writing... I would love for him to come up with the exact scripture that tells him that he is allowed to judge people as a "Christian" lol what a complete idiot... and oh NO his ass will NOT get a frappacino in hell... And besides we are not Mocking GOD... we are Mocking the dumbasses like the anonymous emailer that follow a very closed minded portion of "Christians" like Hitler... that believe that their way is God's way and its their way or the highway... Oh well... better him than me.. I read often and just want to say that you and your writing is great. keep up the good work. :)

I just can't wait to get to heaven and spend eternity with people like this. Won't it be just grand?

The amazing display of language. The firm grasp on condemnation.
The affirmation of holier than thou.
This person calls themselves a "Christian"??
Funny-
I was always under the impression that "Christians" were to be without foul language, and un able to sit in judgement of their fellow man.

Is it any wonder that the average public can't seperate the real Christians from the fake ones?
Here's a tip " Christian" Folk.. Look at the word. CHRISTian. One should be Christ-like if they want the world to listen to HIS message.

I feel sorry for all those people out there who call themselves Christians but do not act like Christians! I fear that God will judge them harshest of all. I am a Catholic Christian who happens to be a Democrat. I do not believe that you should call yourself a Christian and then speak (or write) the way that person did in response to your article. Hate is hate no matter what form it takes. The same can be said of discrimination. Our God is watching and I have a hard time believing that He is happy with the so-called "Christians" of America. I do not want to group all Christians into that group because not all Christians are like the one who responded in such a foul-mouthed way to your article. However, there are many Christians out there who are exactly like that person. May God have mercy on his (and their) soul(s)!

If HIV is a curse for gays then what is cancer?? The curse for out of the line heterosexuals?? God's name has been used for centuries (and im not saying only the Christian God) for war and crime (Crusades or the infamous Inquisition). Christians do get cancer so they are cursed by God??? Or they are a demon filled soul???
I have studied in a Christian School but my teachers had the good choice to tell us that no one can have the right interpretation of the Bible.

Holy mental illness, Batman!! The anonymous commenter has landed crotch-down on the fence between fantasy and reality... then he floated straight up into a drug-induced stupor. Whew! Let's hope he's writing from inside the prison library.

Hey, Mr. Anonymous - I know you're reading this, so listen up. That was the most pathetic hate mail ever. A real christian would have stood up for his beliefs and signed his name. You're just an attention-seeking closet case who can't bear the thought of people having better sex than you. Go grab yourself a cheeseburger and the Book of Revelations and beat off tonight. Trust me, you'll feel better.

Such language! There is truly a fine line between the "God hates Fags" segment of American Society and Islamist fundamentalists that hijack plans and slam them into buildings in the name of God. I think the only difference is the (small) degree of Church/State separation we currently enjoy.

Whoa....everybody hold on a minute.

Hell has frappucinno? Is it nice and cold?

If being a Christian means that I have to be like the guy/gal who wrote to you, then I respectively decline to be called a Christian from now on. It is people like this person who give GOD a bad name, God is the only Judge of my existance in a moral ethical sense- all of the "Christians" that hate in the name of God, such as the Fallwells, and the Ilk they inspire, should seriously take a bible course and refresh themselves with what the meaning of the scriptures mean.

do unto others as you would have done to you-

read that one liner again all you "christians" who hate gays and others not like them.....would you feel the same way if the gays were in total power and made you feel the way you make them feel, and made you unable to marry cause you weren't gay?

turn the tables folks, see if your reasoning is the same.....

Jesus did address issues such as divorce, adultry, and marriage, all with the context of male-female relationship.

Matthew 5:31-32
“It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written notice of divorce.’ But I say to you, any man who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”

Matthew 19:3-9
Some Pharisees came to him in order to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?” He answered them, “Haven’t you read that the one who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female’ and said, ‘That is why a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, man must never separate.”
They asked him, “Why, then, did Moses order us ‘to give a certificate of divorce and divorce her’?” He said to them, “It was because of your hardness of heart that Moses allowed you to divorce your wives. But from the beginning it was not this way. I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

God is a proper noun no? If you love him so...show him some grammatic respect. And you're right Jesus didn't come to save any DIKES ask New Orleans. Jesus came to die for EVERYONE including homosexuals' sins. If you're gonna call people names atleast spell it right. Oh and just F.Y.I. you have a greater chance at contracting A.I.D.S. than a Lesbian (aka DYKE). Proven fact because of the "manner in which" they swap bodily fluids.

Three phrases should be among the most common in our daily usage. They are: Thank you, I am grateful and I appreciate.
