We sanction what we used to condemn

Sad, sad, sadThe image to right is a propaganda poster issued by the U.S. government in 1942 (National Archives page) to publicize the realities of Nazi brutality.

The painting in the poster is eerily similar to an image we're all too familiar with. Sadly, torture and brutality in places like Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo blurs the distinction between the war crimes of Nazi Germany and the torture sanctioned by our government.

America is now in the business of endorsing what we used to condemn. How in a million years is that not grounds for impeaching the regime who allowed it and, in fact, sanctioned it?

Looks to be somewhat akin to The George W. Bush Rape and Torture Rooms.

To think the horrors that occurred in Nazi Germany could happen in America is inconceivable to most Americans, as it was to many Germans during the 1940s. But it did happen in Nazi Germany and it can happen in America. The critical issue here is the media, as in Nazi Germany. When the people are not given the truth, how can they act accordingly, and honorably -- they can't! The tragedy that is happening in America is our press has become toothless, and the truth is being obsecured! These are indeed frightening times. With the exception of the Internet and a few (very few) brave journalists ... the crimes committed in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo are, at best, down-played in importance by the media ... it is as if those crimes have not happened or of little consequence. The real critical questions here are that the media in America is owned and operated by a few "privileged" republican men.... Yes, we are firmly in the grip of a fascist regime, the commingling of the State and corporations. The American people no longer live in a democracy! How can a democracy exist without a free press? How can a democracy exist when corporations pay politicans to do their bidding? How can a democracy exist with over half of the voting American public voting for a criminal fraud for no other reason than he has been able to convince them that God is on his side?

We should be afraid, very afraid! The billiant days of the shining beacon of democracy, America, are coming to an end. There is only one hope ... and that is somehow or someway the American people must stand up to the corrosion of our democracy and put an end to the plutocracy that is strangling, day by day, our basic freedoms! I know that I, along with millions of Americans, are agonized beyond comprehension by what is happening to our beautiful democracy and country! We must unite -- and let us not forget that this country was forged through a revolutionary war to overthrow tyranny ... in some way, we need to do it again!

This George Bush is the worst president our Republic has even seen! He won't stop with Iraq, no way! Few in the world believed that Hitler would move into the Rhineland, then Austria, then ... then Poland.... Can't happen again? Look again!

The likely culpability of George Bush himself is being ignored by the mainstream news media because, although it has reported some of the aspects of abuse and torture, it has refused to report the fact that a 2-page email uncovered on 12/20/04 by the ACLU in a Freedom of Information Act request referenced a presidential executive order which authorized many of the abuses which were famously pictured at Abu Ghraib. I recommend that everyone who reads this check out this website's document

http://www.aclu.org/SafeandFree/SafeandFree.cfm?ID=17216&c=206

and complain vigorously to CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox, the New York Times, Washington Post, etc., for being so cowardly in not disclosing such information to the public. You would think this information would not only be newsworthy, but should be a page A1 headline. What is wrong with our news media?

This reminds me of the pictures of Lydie England holding the chain attached to the neck of the prisoner in Abu Ghraib.
This is how:
Anyone remember the pictures from old history books of the white master holding the chain that attached to a collar around the necks of black slaves?
Imperialism is Imperialism- and Fascist to the roots.

If you want to help put Rumsfeld on trial in Germany for war crimes, go to http//:tinyurl.com/3vcog , sign and send an email to the German Federal Prosecutor.

The Center for Constitutional Rights and 4 tortured Iraqis filed war crimes charges in late November. The prosecutor has not yet decided if he will go forward, so a worldwide letter campaign is underway to urge him to go forward with an inquest. German warcrimes law has universal jurisdiction, and is quite specific about definitions. This is law OUR fathers helped write, in blood, after saving Germany from Hitler. Now the German prosecutor has the opportunity to repay a portion of that debt.

It is a strong historical link; because, truly, the world did not change in 2001. It changed in 1945, forever. Either everyone truly has inalienable rights, or they do not.

We've given up our racism; the United States signed treaties banning this exact activity. An illegal invasion with war crimes is unconstitutional, and human rights standards are not something that ANY invader can redefine as he goes. Bush his cronies, and those encouraged by their ugly swaggering, clearly have not given up their racism, or indeed, the sadism that goes along with it.

Help stop Rumsfeld.

Bush and his cronies possess a bloodlust.

How is it that the majority are governed by so few? The US has taken its place among nations who are also under control of ruthless dictators.

There is no differance..we ARE the new Nazi Reich.

Those who are not ashamed of our countrie's actions are ignorant of the realities of those actions.

When, how, where, does the revolution start?

How do we get our fat *ss*s out of the couch in order to stop this new world order, all narrated by the likes of Katie Couric...

We are a delusional populace.

Post WW2, we have slowly surrendered- to jewish groups and jewish interests -our collective right to define what fascism is . unfortunately, it is impossible these days to come to a concensus regarding the fascist character of america: the jewish groups will condemn it and call anyone making that association an anti semite. as if fascism is a logo and they own the copyright to it. meanwhile the israel mouthpieces have no difficulty referring to muslims as islamo fascists...

All those concerned Patriots,

Please go to "www.martiallaw911.com" and read two volumes of TRANCRIPTS as posted on this site.

Mr. Shine, is a Federal Officer who has been charged with and actuallly PROSECUTED aggressively for "being depressed"......

Only so the involved Federal Agencies covering for the corrupt Federal Employers or Federal Contractors could escape gross civil and human rights violations.........

This guy really needs YOUR combined help to survive and to be able to tell his story about the HIGH DEGREE of FASCISM that he has encountered while fighting these corruptions....

If you cannot HELP him get aid and legal help and somehow get proper legal aid fund set-up... You will MOST LIKELY be next for FORCED mental examinations for anyone who complains or excercises their rights as cited within the Bill of Rights......................

Thanks.......

I was afraid of this country going down this route when I saw Bob Dole jump into the 2000 Florida recount. Bob was standing with and defending the Republican riot squad and 4 years later defended the Swift boat liars. How ironic it is that a man who almost lost his life fighting facsism is today encouraging it? Hitler would be very proud of him.

Hi if you would like to help someone try to press this point through there is a topic on a local message board that someone is trying to convince people that George Bush is like Hitler... he's the only one making sense of it at the moment.
