1) Actually because these characters appear to be computer generated. What you people, whom obviously have never seen a real penis before, are viewing is a strip of light showing that the area is rounded. That would be generated by a lighting feature using a 3D animation/drawing program.

2) Last time I checked there was nothing wrong with erections or penises that's how everybody on this planet is here...an erection and dare I say it...a vagina. I got erections all the time when I was a child, I still do. I probably have one right now...luckily I had loving parents that explained to me what it was so I wasn't all uptight (pun intended) about it.
